Surabaya (ANTARA News) – Former Minister of State Companies Dahlan Iskan has been arrested by the East Java high prosecution office.
Dahlan Iskan was charged with illegally approving and signing the sales of the assets of PT Panca Wira Usaha (PWU), when he was president director of the company owned by the East Java regional administration in 2002-2004.
“I am not surprised with my arrest as a suspect . I have been a target of those in power,” the minister under the government of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said before leaving the office of the high prosecution office.
It was the fifth time Dahlan was interrogated over the case by the investigators of the high prosecution office. He was grilled for eight hours on Thursday before he was named a suspect at 17.30 local time and was sent to custody later.
“I only worked for the company and was not paid. I signed a document presented to me by a staff,” he said.
Dahlan Iskan was president director of the state owned electricity company PLN before he was named minister for state companies.(*)
